On November 12, 2013 William David Wilhelm Sr. "Bill" 88 of Aberdeen Md, passed away. He was born on March 3, 1925 Beloved husband of Patricia Wilhelm, devoted father of Bernice and William David Wilhelm Jr. and father-in-law Karen Wilhelm, and loving grandfather of Wesley Welty and William David Wilhelm III devoted son of the late Claude and Pauline Wilhelm of Aurora WV and loving brother of Meredith Bolyard, Ken Wilhelm, and Beatrice "Bubbles" Winters.
He served in the United States Army during WWII, Korea, and Vietnam as a Helicopter Crew Chief / Instructor. He also belonged to Knights of Columbus Council 4714, Sons of Italy, Forest Hill, MD, Havre De Grace Elks Lodge 1564, American Legion Bernard L. Tobin Post 128, Aberdeen VFW Memorial Post 10028, and was an Usher for St Joan of Arc Church.
He was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, and friend. He was very much loved by all that knew him; He had a wonderful smile and will be missed dearly.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father William Franken on Monday, November 18 at 10:00am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Aberdeen, MD. Interment with military honors will be in Harford Memorial Gardens.
