Bruce Purdy Reynolds of Aberdeen died March 4 in Sykesville. He was 85. Born in Dalton, PA he was the son of the late Herman B. and Esther (Purdy) Reynolds and husband of the late Mary E. (Meldrom) Reynolds who passed away in 2001. Mr. Reynolds retired as a civil servant from the United States Government and was an Army veteran of WWII, after the war his served in the National Guard. He was a member of the Aberdeen Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 128, NRA, Baltimore Amateur Radio Club, and the ARRL. He loved wood working and model trains. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Larry B. and Joyce Reynolds of Sykesville and two grandsons, Brian and Sean Reynolds also of Sykesville. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services conducted by Rev. W. John Stieler and Pastor Claude D. Waldon, Sr. will be held on Monday, March 8 at 11am. Interment will be in Harford Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 353, Aberdeen, MD 21001.
